Are Walkers and Exersaucers Safe For Kids?

Walkers and Exersaucers help little ones with their developmental milestones.

The attachments that now come on walkers and exersaucers help them learn how to do the following:

Vocalize themselves by giggling along with the attachments How to grab objects To strengthen their legs by jumping up and down Develop fine motor skills

The only concern that doctors and parents have with walkers is that they are dangerous around steps and stairwells because a baby could fall down them and be seriously injured so be sure to have safety gates up and around your home at all times.

Always make sure to supervise your child while they are in the exersaucer or walker. Do not put your child in one of these items before they are able to sit up on their own and especially not before they can hold up their own head. Once your child can walk or run on their own the use of this should be discontinued. Also, never place them in front of heat or near tables or cords because children can use the table to climb out or grab the cord and wrap it around themselves dangerously.

My son has theEvenflo 3-in-1 ExerSaucer Triple Fun and absolutely loves it. I love it because it starts out as a floor mat, becomes a seat that he can jump around in and then folds out into a work bench he can play on as a toddler. It also folds up and is easily portable to take to grandmas or stored in his closet.

Popular brands for walker and exersaucers are Chicco, Evenflo, Graco, Bright Starts, Combi, Safety 1st, and Fisher Price.
